I visited the Museo Regional di Scienze Naturali in Torino last week

Lucky for me I was there mainly to buy a book with mining maps, because the museum was not worth a visit. Well, if you like to see stuffed animals it's a good museum. But for minerals the displays are only one small hallway. With mainly minerals from outside of Italy. Only a few specimens from Italy, and even less specimens from the Piemonte region... Although the region has famous mines and delivered superb specimens. There was a display of minerals from Traversella on the last Munich fair, but almost nothing was visible in the museum. And nothing from Brosso. So I went for a few latte macchiato in town and read the book that I just bought ;)
