Hi there,

Last Wednesday, I visited the "Universiteitsmuseum" in Groningen. My attention to this museum was drawn not only because by son studies in Groningen, but because this museum should have a great geological collection.

The museum is housed in a old building in the center of Groningen. A few years ago the museum inherited the collections of both the Nature Museum and the Ethnological Museum, when these two museums had to close their doors.

On the groundfloor the museum has a changing exhibition and the permanent exhibitions are on the second floor. The current exhibition is called Inside Out and this exhibition focusses on the human body and some of its processes.

But as you might understand, the main goal of my visit was the geological collection.
