Our goals as a Foundation:

From our statutes:
Stichting Strahlen ("Strahlen Foundation", "Stiftung Strahlen") was created with the following goals:

* To interest people for geology and mineralogy, and bind those interested in an online community,
    that supports the goals of the Foundation where friendly contact, helping eachother, and the pleasure of spending time together on a hobby is the most important.
* To do all other activities, that can positively support the above goal.

The Foundation tries to reach its goal by:
- Sharing knowledge and information on geology and mineralogy, by that making that information publically available to the online community.
- To do that via the internet, where "www.strahlen.org" is maintained by the Foundation as an online platform
    where the online community can meet eachother to exchange information on geology and mineralogy
    via a discussion forum, via informationpages on the site itself and via an open email distributionlist.
- The Foundation also gives online webspace for free via this platform ("subdomains"),
    on which the online community can publish information by itself.
    That information must comply with the goals of the Foundation.
- Where the online platform can also be used by the online community to make appointments for
    joined geological and mineralogical trips which comply with the goals of the Foundation
- co-operating with other organisations with equal goals.
- Doing everything else that can positively support the goals of the Foundation.
- The Foundation is not a business but is a not-for-profit Foundation and does not allow any commercial activities,
    and is therefore not subject to the Dutch tax "vennootschapsbelasting".
