http://www.mindat.org/loc-11606.html) is one of the nicest places. It's an about 30 minutes drive from Mibladen.
People keep telling that the road is bad to get there from Mibladen, but we were able to drive there at relative normal speed (30 km/h) with a normal 1.1 diesel rental car...
The road to Aouli is beautiful. You can stop on the way and take a few hours for a picnic or a swim in the river! It's really like a small paradise in that valley...
When you reach Aouli, you can eather walk up the 366 steps on a stone stairway from the buildings near the river, up towards the miners ghost town on the hill,
or you can (like we did lazy bastards
drive there.
From up the hill you can get the famous overview of a part of the Aouli mining complex.
The Aouli mining complex is large... very large, and the almost sterile Quarz dumps further on in the valley is large like Panasqueira (it looks the same also)
I have a 150 page book I bought in b/w copy in Midelt on the mining here, with lots of old pictures from when the mine was active.
