G = Grandfathered minerals: original description preceded the establishment of the CNMNC in 1959, and generally regarded as a valid species
A or IMA No. = Minerals approved by the CNMNC
Rd = Redefinition of the mineral approved by the CNMNC
Rn = Renamed with approval by the CNMNC
Q = Questionable mineral

Classification principles:
The subclass "2.F: Sulfosalts with atom ratio of cation/chalcogen = 1" is new and completely different compared to Strunz 9, and was adapted from the sulfosalt systematics in Moëlo et al. (2008). Subdivision now into 2.FA. Binary sulfosalts (MPnCh3), where M = univalent cation (Cu, Ag, Tl); Pn = pnictogen (As, Sb, Bi); Ch = chalcogen (S, Se, Te); 2.FB. Ternary sulfosalts (M1+M22+PnS3); 2.FC. Quaternary sulfosalts (M1+M2+M32+Pn2S5)
Further classification:
2.FA. Binary sulfosalts (MPnCh3), where M = univalent cation (Cu, Ag, Tl); Pn = pnictogen (As, Sb, Bi); Ch = chalcogen (S, Se, Te): Groups/single minerals arranged according to Moëlo et al. (2008), adapted to the general Strunz 9 classification scheme.
2.FB. Ternary sulfosalts (M1+M22+PnS3): Arranged according to Moëlo et al. (2008), adapted to the Strunz 9 classification scheme.
2.FC.: Quaternary sulfosalts (M1+M2+M32+Pn2S5): Only one group.

To distinguish from classical Strunz numbering, on hierarchical "group" level, a numbering with 3 digits is used, like "2.FA.005. Matildite group", instead of 2 digits (like "2.FA.05.") in the Strunz system.
