Following our visit in the Sterling Hill Mine museum and the Sterling Hill Mine, we went into the pits around the mine with Earl Verbeek and Dick Hauck.
Leaving the mine from the "back-door" near the rainbow-room, you enter directly into the Passaic Pit. This Pit is now filled with rocks taken from elsewhere on the mining compound. The Passaic Pit is open for collecting on some days of the year. See here for more info.
