won't everyone in Europe already be long vaccinated before October?
Im not that optimistic, we are at 10% vaccinated - with this pace I will get vaccinated in summer - 2022!

Alcohol consumption leads people to shrink social distancing, so large alcohol consumption events are the worst type for aerially transmitted viruses. I remember being once in the Hofbrauhaus in Munich and the noise level was so infernally high that conversation was only possible by getting really close and shouting into each other's faces. The mineral fair would be inherently safer. And anyway, won't everyone in Europe already be long vaccinated before October?

Incidentally, at the postponed Tucson show last month, some foreign dealers were taking a couple hours off from the show to go get vaccinated. Tucson vaccination centers were shooting any adult who wanted it, without asking whether you were a resident or just a mineral show visitor. The problem now in the USA is the 30% of the population who don't want vaccinations, because they've been scared by stupid journalism about the one-in-a-million chance of bad side effects and would rather take their luck with the one-in-a-hundred chance of bad side effects from the virus. Poor understanding of large numbers, it seems.

Anyway, if Munich Mineralientage really gets cancelled, I might be forced to become an internet dealer. Quite depressing thought.

Oktoberfest cancelled. This does not offer much perspective for the mineral fair a few weeks later...

Liebe Besucher, liebe Freunde der Munich Show,

November 2020 stattfinden!

Haha. Nah. That was just a random dealer packing up.
My goal at the fair was to meet people and have fun.
I did not buy one specimen and was not selling ; but I did come home with an alfredopetrovite :)

My report is now in https://www.strahlen.org/forum/index.php/topic,2247.0.html (for members)

Last day in Munich:
Usually a slow day.
Dealers packing up, or walking around chatting.
Major buyers already in airplanes on their way home, or back home already...
