"visiting Saint Michael's Mount Castle in Cornwall, UK. In the castle, there was some mineral samples on display from the mineralcollection of Sir John of St.Aubyn's, the fitfh baronet (1758-1839). He had hired the famous Jacques Louis Comte de Bournon (bournonite) as curator for his collection. Among the few samples of minerals in the exhibition I found these interesting samples of early micromounts. Small gem stones were mounted on colums of wax in small wooden cups."
