Vulcano Island is the type-locality for 37 mineralogical species, 24 of which have been studied by the authors of this volume. More than a decade after the 2011 volume “Vulcano, tre secoli di mineralogia” (Italian edition) our studies on Vulcano’s minerals have continued and have allowed not only the characterization of many species previously reported as unknown, but also the identification of numerous previously unreported species. Therefore, we felt it was essential and necessary to update the situation with an English edition so that the information could be used by a greater number of people. At the same time, the quality of most of the photographic material was updated and improved. More than a hundred mineralogical species are described, of which 37 have the Island of Vulcano as type locality. Published by AMI (Associazione Micro-mineralogica Italiana) and GML-AIM (Gruppo Mineralogico Lombardo - Associazione Italiana di Mineralogia).
