In Oberwolfach gibt es ein Mineralien- und Mathematikmuseum. Zum einen, weil es mehrere Bergwerke in der Nähe gibt, zum anderen weil in Oberwolfach eines der weltweit führenden Mathematik-Forschungsinstitute liegt, in dem jährlich über 2500 Professoren aus aller Welt zu Gast sind.
