Meteorite Zagami, composed mainly of pigeonite crystals, with augite and maskelynite (plagioclase glass). Achondrite, SNC group, basaltic shergottite. Origin of the meteorite is the planet Mars. Meteorit Zagami, der aus Pigeonit-Kristallen mit Augit und Maskelynit (Plagioklas-Glas) besteht. Achondrit, SNC-Gruppe, basaltischer Shergottit. Herkunft des Meteoriten ist der Planet Mars. Fall 3. Meteorite NWA 4734, a coarse-grained magmatic rock, composed of pigeonite crystals, anorthite and some minor minerals. Achondrite, LUN group, lunar mare basalt. Origin of the meteorite is the Moon. Found 2006, Morocco. Part slice, size 14 x 10 mm. Collection and foto Thomas Witzke.
