The MineralienWelt article brought us to this locality, the article made us wanting to go there... But we only got there with the detailed route given by a spanish friend. What's there to tell about this locality...? Well, without help you won't find it on any map. But with help from your friends you can find nice Wulfenit-xx here. It's a lot of hard sweaty work for some little xls, but it might be worth it... The rock underground is very brittle. It's no use to use heavy equipment here, it will only break/damage the cystals. The only way to find anything here is to work hard with a hammer and a small chissel.
We did not find large pieces like in the MineralienWelt article, but small pieces with nice Wulfenit-xx on them, together with very small Galenit-xx and Cerussit-xx. It seems to us that sometimes the Wulfenit-xx look grey/black because of Galenit-inclusions. There were small cavities in the brittle rock. The walls of those cavities carried small Wulfenit-xx, but inside the cavities also there were mm-small 'swimmers' of Wulfenit. Very nice yellow and wellformed on all edges.
After we left here we drove to the Canarico mines...
